Debbie Farrell has always been interested in all areas of textile design. Building on her London degree in Printed Textiles and Decoration, Debbie worked in a West London textiles studio producing printed patterns for interior fabrics. Debbie’s enthusiasm led her to teaching , including running art departments for international summer courses. Debbie has exhibited her work in galleries across the South East, including London’s Business Design Centre and galleries in London, Ascot and Wargrave.
Debbie currently focuses on embroidery and is inspired by her home in rural Oxfordshire. Picturesque summer poppies, frosty winter snow scenes, late summer silhouettes, along with many beautiful flowers and local landscapes are embroidered freehand by Debbie, and displayed in crisp white box frames. All images on this site are available to order, so please get in touch.
Debbie is always happy to take on personal commissions, working with clients to produce unique pieces to their specifications that can be treasured through the generations. She produces personalised landscape embroideries of homes, or special places, for example churches to commemorate weddings.
Debbie also produces box-framed keepsakes for births, weddings and christening. Debbie can embroider names, dates and other details, along with printed and stitched birds, flowers and insects. Debbie works with clients to choose colours, designs and imagery, incorporating her large collection of vintage lace, crochets and ribbons to produce a purely personal piece of art.
Debbie’s personalised cards can also be ordered for any occasion. Weddings, engagements, christenings, Christmas, birthdays, new homes, new babies – Debbie will ensure your card is a special memento with your unique choice of colours and imagery.
